U.S. turkey and egg exports increased in value during the first three quarters of 2025, while broiler export value declined slightly, according to USDA Foreign Agricultural Service data.
From January-September 2025, total U.S. broiler exports fell 5.8% to 2.29 million metric tons, mainly due to reduced shipments to China, Hong Kong, Iraq, and Vietnam. Export value declined slightly to $3.44 billion (-0.2%). However, several markets recorded strong growth, including the Philippines, Taiwan, Canada, Haiti, Turkmenistan, South Korea, Ghana, and Jamaica. Mexico remained the largest market despite a 3.2% decline in volume.
Turkey exports totaled 137,008 metric tons, down 16.4% in volume, but export value increased 13.0% to $554.1 million. Mexico accounted for over 80% of total turkey exports. In September alone, turkey export value rose 17.5% despite lower volumes, with notable gains to Canada and several smaller markets.
Total U.S. egg exports declined 28.1% in volume to 97.6 million dozen, but export value rose sharply 37.2% to $313.0 million. Table egg exports fell in volume but increased 65.4% in value, led by strong demand from Canada.Egg product exports also declined in volume and value, with most shipments going to the EU-27, Japan, Mexico, and Canada.
