A 23-year-old Zoe Rosenberg, an animal rights activist with the extremist group Direct Action Everywhere, has been sentenced to 90 days in jail, found guilty of four charges — including a felony count of conspiracy and three misdemeanor counts of trespassing and tampering with a vehicle. Petaluma Poultry documented more than $100,000 in losses resulting from the incident.

Rosenberg and her accomplice broke into Petaluma Poultry multiple times disguising themselves as Petaluma Poultry employees, accessed and went through confidential corporate records and data, stole livestock from Petaluma Poultry, Reichardt Duck Farms, and from a Hunter Lane facility, attached GPS trackers to twelve trailers, cut the fence at the Petaluma Poultry facility, placed hidden cameras  and took photos of the facility.
