In 2024, USAPEEC celebrated 60 years of SIAL Paris, with staff and members taking part in what was deemed a busy and productive week during which U.S. poultry and egg products were introduced to the world.
One especially significant event that took place at SIAL came when USAPEEC President and CEO Greg Tyler and ABPA (Brazilian Association of Animal Protein) Ricardo Santin (seen here) signed a memorandum of understanding to further enhance cooperation between the poultry industries of the two countries. The partnership is to focus on avian health, grain availability, biosecurity, food safety, and environmental issues.
The USAPEEC booth proved a popular destination to visit during the week as well. Among the visitors were USDA FAS Administrator Daniel Whitley and Minister Counselor, Agricultural Affairs FAS France David Leishman.
